Hanging by a moment.

Been involved in a very packed schedule recently, thus explaining the low regularity of recent entries.Well,it was a great relief to come off all the busy stuff and just sit down and do one of my favourite pastimes, blogging.
In anycase you're wondering what I've been so busy with,it has got something to do with school starting soon,in fact, its next Mon.yeah,Orientation for my own course. It wasnt the greatest,in fact,I was really wishing that I was back at camp, for the new classmates I have seems just so dead and lifeless.I'm not expecting them to be jumping around like some energizer bunnies, but at the very least, show some enthusiasm?I was praying all day for that to happen, but it just won't.Now classes are not really something I'm looking foward to.But nonetheless,I still hope that things will gradually change, and the class will turn out to be fun and cheerful after all.fingers are crossed,I assure you.
On the other hand, ties with my camp mates have never been better! The outings, endless escapades and fun&laughter never fails to brighten up my day. From my personal point of view,I think I'm gonna end up hanging out more often with my camp mates rather than my class mates.and my sentiments are being echoed by some of my other camp mates as well.Guess this camp hangover is really hard to shake off, huh?Am looking foward to much more outings or just pure hang out sessions.
My laptop's just delivered yesterday, and words cant explain how excited and glad I am that it has finally arrived after such a long period of waiting. But not being a very good computer configurator myself,I'm still trying to comprehend some niggling doubts over some programmes and net connections.Help, anyone? Will really appreciate any helping hand offered.thanks!
Well, its about 2 days till school officially begins, and work will start piling up,assignments to be rushed. Can't wait really, although I'm still a little unsure on how I would be able to adapt to Poly life.CCAs seems like the most important thing at the moment,as I've yet to decide what exactly to join, although fencing looks really interesting.besides that, any other suggestions?Uncertainty's in the air,so,I'll probably add another entry once I'm settled down in school.Till then, cheers!

FOC Camp:TITANS,class of 06/07

Just back not long ago from the mentioned camp above, well,to be exact, its been 2days.been spending the past two days catching up on my rest really.Camp's been great,I couldnt ask for more,no regrets whatsoever. And the friends made during camp was definitely remembered, never forgotten.
As the days of camp passes on,well,in a way,it just got better and better.and that I was greatful for,as Day One of camp wasnt really up to expectations, with plenty of screw-ups,but nevertheless,Day Two and so forth till the last day was just plain superb. Those whom took the chance to actually book out of camp, well,I'm sure you missed out on all the fun and laughter. The non-stop cheering almost took my voice away, but in anycase,if that happened,it was worth it.
To GLs-Vernon,Max,Jean,Tommy,Crystal,Jasmine,Kid,Syaz and Raymond. You guys definitely lived up to your "loudest" GLs tag,and it was an great experience with you people as our leaders.Inspirational?check.Motivational?check.Fun-loving?check as well.Indeed, the times spent together throughout the four days was definitely unforgettable.Especially during the times when funny cheers were conjured up,like the "Tammy" cheer?
Well, its always nice to come away from all the stress and problems faced everyday and sit down and reflect on the good ol' times. And as the chapter of this FOC camp closes, another's about to begin while I look foward to next week's orientation with my course.Another event to look foward to.Meanwhile,I'll just stick to the usual gatherings and just hang out.till then, cheers!

S for Stenographer.
Your IQ score is 118!
You are equipped with a verbal arsenal that enables you to understand complex issues and communicate on a particularly high level, making you a Word Warrior. Your command of words is so powerful that you are also a terrific communicator -- able to articulate big ideas to just about anyone. The power of words translates to fresh ideas off paper too, in both artistic and creative pursuits. This allows you to be a visionary -- to extrapolate and come up with a multitude of fresh ideas.
Well, just to add in a little short entry today, took a IQ test over at Kian's blog, and that's the score I ended up with.Seems rather accurate I suppose,I've gotta admit-I'm definitely more at home with words than numbers. But to articulate big ideas? It remains to be seen.Well,if you're bored at home with nothing other than housework keeping you company, this interesting test would be a good option.till then, cheers!

Let it all out.

"Remember, remember, the 5th of November."Just one of the interesting phrases heard in the movie,"V for Vendetta."Went to watch it over at Cineleisure with some good buddies of mine, and I guess this time, the $7bucks spent wasnt wasted after all.The movie proved to be a witty and eloquent, yet with its fair share of political and violent messages throughout.Definitely a must-watch if you're looking foward to a movie.I would personally give it a 4/5 star rating.Don't miss it for the world.

Saying that, its a great relief to find out that the political problems over at Thailand, over the refusal of PM Thaksin to step down. But finally,it all ended yesterday,as he offically offered to step down, and thus ending the endless riots.

Ending that,it comes to my mind how some Singaporeans are just so willing to get their jobs done in any possible way.even in the way of irritating people with their poor command of the English language, talking in a smattering dose of Chee-na and Engrish."Please comes in your team of five."This sentence itself is just one of the many examples I've encountered while walking on the busy streets of Orchard.I'm not trying to say that I'm a master of the English language, but for everyone's sake,I seriously think this bunch of "promoters" should brush up on their English before going public and having speech day.

With all that said,I'm pretty glad to see that the media is finally loosening the stranglehold on the topic teens.I'll hate to enter in another debate in teenage politics.Kian'll understand that. And as far as class outings go,I think I've enough of it.Since there're selfish and inconsiderate individuals out there who would be there to sabotage the whole event, why bother really?Enough about this.Absolutely pointless.Well,I'll end here.cheers!

Recommendation of the day-Feeling hungry?a little bored of the local dishes? Then I'll suggest a trip to Far East Plaza's Turkish restaurant. The food's not the best, but neither is it the worst.A good choice if you're looking for something different.

Not Now.

Its been going on for a while now,and the topic "teens" just about is on everyone's lips or minds at the moment. The 11pm curfew,"Tammy" saga, teens going "over-rebellious",etc.It seems the spotlights' on us now, ain't it?Each has his own opinions, and so do I.
Walking down the busy and crowded street in Orchard on a typical weekend, exposes my eyes, and not forgetting my ears as well,to what actually comes out of a teen's mouth.sentences laden with nothing but expletives, making 50cent sound like an amateur.Cigarettes or some drugs light up their lives, instead of the good ol' reading or great music.Saying that,I do admit myself that I'm no stranger to explicit language, being guilty of using them at times. But heck,I sure don't use it as though its part of my vocabulary or even worst, use it as though its the only language I know.Of course, nothing beats getting myself addicted to not only cigarettes, but drugs. How the mind of a teen nowadays work really baffles me at times. It leaves me not only flabbergasted, but upset at the same time. This is the future of S'pore, and if I'm a foreigner assessing the situation at the moment,I'll say it'll be soon to do some invading.
But instead of salvaging the current bleak situation, the 11pm curfew imposed and the endless highlights on how low the futures of teens are going is just making everything worse. The curfew, especially,is just plain ridiculous.Imagine a teen, after going through a rigourous day in school all the way till nightfall, looking foward to a good supper with pals to chill, only to get themselves into trouble just because they're outside after 11pm.Isn't that uncalled for?
Teens are so sterotyped nowadays,I personally feel no different from a criminal just fresh out from jail.Isn't that what curfews are for?To make sure these criminals get home by a designated time?I rest my case.
And as I move away from all the seriousness, the week's been pretty laid back,as the wait continues for the impending start of school term.Been trying to get a good read, but the papers are all I've got at the moment.Yesterday was 'supposedly' a class gathering, but the eventual turnout was such a massive disappointment I don't even want to talk about it anymore. That's really the final straw. What's the point of organising gatherings when there are going to be tons of others who are not going to appreciate the effort put in?Enough said.and enough of "class gatherings".That's about it I suppose.cheers!
