Miles Apart.Second week of school has offically ended, and it has been quite a rollercoaster ride so far.Fell to the sick bug on the first week as I was stricken with up and down fever temperatures.Thats pretty good evidence of how I'm adapting to poly life so far, which the early lectures,as early as 8am,aren't helping whatsoever.Classes on the first week has been quite the "slack around" or your plain "introductory time",tutorials and practicals cancelled, not bad actually.Bonding with the class itself has been going a little smoothly and yet at the same time, with its bumps along the way. With some asscracks in my class, its not surprising really.
As the second week goes, its definitely going a little better as I get more used to the good ol' early nights and even earlier awakening.Lectures, tutorials, practicals alike have been interesting, although some particular modules require some getting used to.Getting myself a CCA has never felt more pressing than before,as my seniors never stop emphasising on the importance of CCA points.Went through some look-arounds during CCA fiesta, and the school's website, and finally opted for Fencing after some much needed info.Still in the process of deciding whether to join a second CCA,a few clubs are on my mind at the moment.
Went through Fencing Intro Course today and well,it started slowly but WOW! Started the day being introduced to fencing as an evolved sport, all the way from Egyptian times.Boring, but nonetheless,it was pretty obvious when the exciting part was going to begin, and that was first hand experience! got to have a little taste of how training was going to be like, and it just showed me how unfit I've been, and a immenient fitness regime will be required soon. But still, the equipment was cool, but the duelling was even cooler! Fast-paced action all round, well,I'm just eagerly anticipating for the next training session already.FENCING oi!
Feeling really good to get back to what I enjoy doing-blogging,and the really tight schedules have not been helping. Can't wait to get a good read,"The Da Vinci Code" by Dan Brown has been burning my interest for past weeks, and I can't wait to get my hands on it.And as for the ol' wardrobe, its really high time I get some new additions, lest I get complaints for repetions.Getting a little tired of waking up everyday and thinking of the day's attire.Maybe a school uniform wasn't so bad after all.NOT! till then, cheers!
A little birthday wishes-Eoin,Jasmine and Kenneth:Have an enjoyable 17th birthday and all the best for your future endeavours.cheers.06/05/06
